Operational Background
Maj Gen Adamu Baba Abubakar (Rtd) joined the Nigerian Defence Academy on 2 Jan 1982 as a member of 31st Regular Course. He was commissioned on 22 Dec 84 and was posted to the Infantry Corps. He attended all the mandatory courses expected of an infantry officer from the Young Officers course, Platoon commanders course, Regimental signal officers course, company commanders course and Battalion Commanders Course. He was later posted to the Corps of Military Police where he excel. He held many appointments such as OC Military Police, Commander Special Investigation Bureau of the Nigerian Army, Chief Instructor Nigerian Army School of Military Police Basawa, Commandant Nigerian Army School of Military Police, Chief of Administration Nigerian Army and lastly General Officer Commanding 82 Division Enugu. He retired after a meritorious service in 2019.
