Ibrahim Lawal Dankaba

Ibrahim Lawal Dankaba is the visionary behind Nigeria’s first indigenously designed and manufactured Tracked Armoured Personnel Carrier, the BEGUA MK1. He conceived the project in direct response to the security crisis devastating rural communities across northern Nigeria, choosing to build a practical, homegrown tracked personnel carrier purpose-built for rugged and diverse terrains. With over two decades of experience in metal fabrication, heavy manufacturing, and business management, Dankaba personally led the design, steel fabrication, and vehicle integration of the BEGUA prototype from the factory floor. His vision extends beyond the BEGUA MK1, with plans to expand into drone technology and other advanced security systems. He holds an MBA in Entrepreneurship.
